Invitation to the FAQ breakfast of the NRW Chamber of Architects for architecture students in Wuppertal
The NRW Chamber of Architects is organising an FAQ breakfast for students of all architecture disciplines on 21 June between 10:30 and 13:00 on the grounds of the BOB Campus in Wuppertal as part of the " JA* / Junge Planer" campaign. Since the event is taking place in Wuppertal, it would be nice if students from the city would also take part!

We start at 10:30 with a delicious breakfast. At 12:00 we continue with the guided tour of the BOB Campus - an unusual conversion project that has just been awarded the "polis Award 2023".
To the BOB campus:
Industrial history was written about 150 years ago where the BOB campus stands today. Until 2012, the Bünger family of entrepreneurs produced shoelaces, curtain tapes and trimmings here. The old factory buildings of the textile factory stood empty for many years until the BOB CAMPUS was developed in 2017.
Around 45,000 residents from over 100 countries of origin live in the district of Wuppertal-Oberbarmen - this diversity should also be reflected in the use of the BOB Campus.
Eleven flats, a neighbourhood living room, six office lofts, a factory floor with offices and a conference room, a neighbourhood floor, a daycare centre as well as work and art rooms for the neighbouring secondary school and a roof terrace were created on 5,500 m². A neighbourhood garden was also created with a further 4,500 m² for communal use - and then there is always room for new ideas. The flats and office lofts could be occupied in 2022. Construction of the neighbourhood park began in spring 2022.
The "BOB Campus" is a project of the Montag Foundation for Urban Spaces in cooperation with the city of Wuppertal. Architecture: raumwerk.architekten, Cologne. The architects will also present the project on the "Day of Architecture" on 17.06.2023 in two guided tours.
