Workshop of the teaching and research area Soil and Groundwater Management, Professor Jörg Rinklebe

"Native Brazilian plants as a source of innovative raw materials for a sustainable cosmetic use"

The aim of the research project is to develop innovative raw materials based on indigenous Brazilian plants for the cosmetics industry that can be produced profitably.

To this end, 10 professors from universities in Brazil (Universidade Federal de Goiás, UFG; Universidade Federal de São Paulo, UNIFESP), 2 professors from the Freie Universität Berlin and the LuFG Soil and Groundwater Management of the BUW, including their working groups, as well as a cosmetics company (livealoe) from Brazil are working together.

In the workshop, current research results will be presented, discussed and optimally combined with a very high practical relevance for experts and the interested public in a workshop open to the university. This concerns aspects of the sustainability of natural resources, social equality, social market economy, free trade, including the political framework conditions.

The workshop represents an important building block for the integration of research and practice for lecturers, researchers and students from various disciplines at BUW.

This workshop is open to the public. All interested parties are welcome.
