Wuppertal researchers are among the most cited scientists worldwide
The company Clarivate Analytics compiles the "Highly Cited Researchers" list annually to identify the most influential scientists, those who have been cited most frequently in the publications of their peers. This is considered an important indicator of the scholarly impact of a publication. The assessment also takes into account the quality, i.e., the reputation of the journal in which the research was published. The current list includes approximately 6,900 scientists from 21 research fields, including 369 German researchers.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Rinklebe and Dr. Sabry Mohamed Nesiem Shaheen conduct research in the field of soil and groundwater management. Currently, they are working on the following research projects:
- „Innovative solutions for sustainable phosphorus management in soil, BonaRes (InnoSoilPhos Modul A, Phase 3)“, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) through the Project Management Jülich, Jülich Research Center GmbH, as well as
- „Enhancement of Mediterranean small-scale agricultural enterprises through the cultivation of previously unused wild plants (VALUEFARM)"; „Assessment of new organic fertilizers and soil-improving properties of edible wild plants," funded by the DLR Project Management Agency, the project management agency for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), http://valuefarm-prima.agr.uth.gr
