Profile

With the accredited Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering program, you can obtain a first professional, internationally recognized degree in civil engineering from a university ("first cycle degree") after six semesters. The university degree program opens the door to a continual education from the bachelor's degree to the master's degree with the possibility of a postgraduate doctorate in civil engineering (Dr.-Ing.). Some graduates take advantage of this opportunity to embark on a practical career at an early stage. Following a period of working in the construction industry, many of the students tend to return to the university to continue their career simultaneously pursing the master's degree.

The university bachelor's program provides broad knowledge and skills for future jobs, e.g. in small/medium-sized companies in the construction industry. In combination with a subsequent, accompanying professional internship in engineering offices and a consecutive master's program, the students will acquire the necessary professional qualifications for admission as a consulting engineer in the Chamber of Civil Engineers and as an independent liable working professional.
